Today we headed into West London, the touristy district with all the famous landmarks and sights! :) What better way to start off your adventures in England than exploring the heart of British culture? It's kind of nuts traveling with about 16 other college kids, but it's also crazy fun! We once again got on the tube and first stopped for some breakfast!
| Mmm, salmon and avocado are life. <3 I'm going to start a strict #iifym diet soon! |
The rest of the day was an absolute whirlwind. We hit all the tourist destinations: Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, London Eye, London Bridge, Buckingham Palace, and of course hopped into every red telephone booth we could find for some adorable pictures to send home to our families. The Sherlock theme song kept replaying in my head as I ran like a giddy little girl to each attraction. I didn't really buy that many souvenirs besides some postcards and double decker bus keychains; I've been very careful with my budget and I had to spend an additional £10 for my Macbook Charger because I wasn't very smart about electronics. We ended the day at King's Cross Station and... yes Platform 9 3/4 exists! For all my Harry Potter fans out there. ;) Of course I picked out a Slytherin scarf #BB4L and then that picture happened. LOL.
Gotta wake up early to head down south to Sussex University tomorrow. Reality begins haha. Night!
