7.4.14 USA You Were Born to Rage

Our first midterm was today! Not going to lie, it was pretty gruesome, but let's hope all that studying paid off. :)

On another note, it was bloody hot at 9am! The sun scorched my neck as I tried to take my exam. How is anyone supposed to focus on a test when there are literally pocketfuls of sunshine bursting with heat at you right outside the wall-sized window? Turned in my midterm, dropped off my backpack in my room, and hopped on a bus with Sam and Tony to Brighton! :) It was nice just soaking up the warm weather, shopping around, and then heading to the beach, where it was unfortunately a beach with... rocks, not sand haha.

I was thinking of my friends and family back home. Had it only been two weeks since I've been gone? The Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays and I wasn't there to set off some fireworks, eat ribs and watermelon, and make obnoxiously ridiculous freedom jokes. This will have to do, I guess.

I left a little early because I am actually leaving to Paris... tonight! :) Pack and go, I guess.
